Four Decades of Serving Rim Country
Houston Mesa General Store & Fuelwoods was founded in 1983 by Stephen Gehring on West Dead Eye Road in Payson, Arizona. What started as a practical answer to the needs of residents up on the mountain has grown into one of the most trusted names in the community.
Steve built the store on a simple principle: treat people right, stock what they actually need, and never cut corners — especially when it comes to firewood. A cord is a cord here. No shortcuts, no games.
Over 40 years later, that reputation keeps locals and newcomers alike coming back season after season.

We deliver firewood and can stack it for you. No hassle. Just call ahead and we'll handle the rest.
